The mission of Special Olypics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Mission: Keep Orlando a safe city by reducing crime and maintaining livable neighborhoods.
The 1001 sworn and civilian employees of the Police Department serve the citizens of Orlando through crime prevention, criminal investigations and apprehension, neighborhood policing, involvement through the schools with young people and overall delivery of police services http://www.strengthenorlando.org/index.htm
T-shirts
First 600 participants will receive a technical running shirt. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for late race registration.
Awards
Awards will be provided to top male and female finishers, top masters finishers, top law enforcement finishers, and the top age group finishers (12 and under; 13-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and up).
**LIMITED PACKET PICK UP WILL BE AVAILABLE RACE MORNING**
For runners and their families attending the IACP convention packet
pick up will be at the Orange County Convention Center:
Friday from 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Saturday from12:00PM - 7:00PM
For runners not attending the convention, packet pick up will be at Fleet Feet Sports Thursday October 21, from 10:00AM through 7:00 PM
Friday from 10:00AM till 6:00PM
Saturday from 12:00PM till 6:00PM
**LIMITED PACKET PICK UP WILL BE AVAILABLE RACE MORNING**
Due to the short time constraints, you are encouraged to pick up your packets during these times as race day is registration and chip/bib only and available from 6:00AM till 6:40AM
No shirts will be guaranteed on race morning
