The mission of Special Olypics Florida is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Mission: Keep Orlando a safe city by reducing crime and maintaining livable neighborhoods.
The 1001 sworn and civilian employees of the Police Department serve the citizens of Orlando through crime prevention, criminal investigations and apprehension, neighborhood policing, involvement through the schools with young people and overall delivery of police services http://www.strengthenorlando.org/index.htm
T-shirts
First 600 participants will receive a technical running shirt. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for late race registration.
Awards
Awards will be provided to top male and female finishers, top masters finishers, top law enforcement finishers, and the top age group finishers (12 and under; 13-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and up).
**LIMITED PACKET PICK UP WILL BE AVAILABLE RACE MORNING**
Transportation
Transportation to and from Universal Studios for the Universal Pursuit 5K will be available for IACP Convention participants and their families. There will be three pick-up/drop-off locations: the Doubletree Resort Orlando (10100 International Drive), the Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld (6677 Sea Harbor Drive) and the Orange County Convention Center (9800 International Drive; West Hall A). Those needing transportation are asked to arrive at the pick-up locations no later than 5:45 a.m.
RACE DAY IS HERE
Race Day Packet pick up will be located as you are exiting the parking garages at universal Orlando from 6AM through 6:40 AM
No shirts will be guaranteed on race morning
Preliminary Results will be posted during the race in the awards stage area of CityWalk
